TabTrade — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
That last detail tells you something. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys did the opposite. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you know MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be in the works. That will be a good addition when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not something the average person. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.
Pair that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and what you get makes sense. Hardly anyone at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the thing that matters. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If that makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Dodgy operations do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. This does not guarantee anything. But inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade has bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You put money in, they top up your balance. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before you deposit.
